West Salem Baseball will be hosting a hitting and fielding camp on January 14th. This camp is for 5th through 8th graders. The camp takes place at West High and will go from 9AM to Noon. Signups will begin at 8:30AM in the main gym lobby. Cost is $20. You will need tennis shoes, your glove, and a sweatshirt (along with a bat and helmet if available). See you future Titans then!
Today is the first day of winter conditioning. Conditioning will take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 3:00PM. Also, information about future baseball activities will be handed out during various workouts throughout the winter. Be there and be informed!
Players need to be at the loading docks near the tennis courts at the back of the school no later than 9AM ready to pick up and deliver your oranges. If you have a delivery for a teacher you can pick them up from Coach Tiffin or Coach Lohrman and pass them out today (Friday). Great work Titans! Get those oranges handed out!!!
Mark your calendars! The Titans will depart for Arizona on March 22nd at 8:00PM (from PDX) and will return on March 30th at 2:00PM. Tentative game dates are March 24, 26, 27, 28, and 29.
There is a baseball meeting today at 2:30 in Coach Tiffin’s room. It will cover important information that you will need to know! See you then!
Players! Orange selling season is upon us. Our first important date is October 22 when the Orange Sales Blitz takes place. Please be at the field house by 10AM. Dress appropriately and ready to sell!!! Remember, this is an important fundraiser that helps pay for many of the awesome things that Titan Baseball does throughout the year!
Fall and Winter mean the off-season for baseball players. Now is the time where those athletes who are not in a fall/winter sport are working in the weight room, on the track, in the cages and on the field to improve their game. At the same time we are also looking to put the baseball program and its facilities in the best shape possible. This means fundraising and putting in time at the yard so that the Titan Baseball program is ready come spring.
We (players/coaches/parents/supporters) will be doing various projects and fundraisers throughout the off-season. Stay tuned to Facebook, Twitter, and the “Off-Season” page of our site for things we are looking to complete. We will be updating the site with pictures of the facility updates we have accomplished as well as other off-season information as it becomes available.
However, the Titan Baseball program cannot do all of this on it’s own. We need your help to continue the tradition of excellence here at West Salem High School.
