For Titan ballplayers the summer season is nearly a month in. You can check out Titans players on the AAA Legion, Division 1 and Division 2 teams all summer long! Simply scroll over the “Summer Ball” tab on our site to find the team you’re looking for. Have a great summer and come root on your Titans!!!
Senior Awards night for all sports will be held Thursday, May 27 at 7PM in the auditorium. Because Varsity baseball’s final home game was moved to Redmond all senior parents are asked to attend so that they may be honored on this night.

Freshman and JV awards are Wednesday, May 26 at 6:50PM in the commons. After a brief introduction by the West AD both teams will move upstairs to the library. Varsity awards will be held on a later date TBD.

Tryouts for the West Salem Division I and Division II summer ball teams will be held at 3:13PM on both Wednesday and Thursday. Player costs are $250 for the season. Players are expected to have the check prior to tryouts. Teams will be posted outside room D224 on Friday mid-morning. Anyone who does not make a team will be given the check back. See you out there!
Mark Allen, Titan outfielder and senior, was named 2nd Team All-State by Oregon coaches. Along with the award Allen has also earned Athlete of the Week and 1st Team All-League for his strong production in 2010. Mark is an excellent example of hard work paying off!!!
Five West Salem Titans Baseball players were honored by Central Valley Conference coaches for their performances in 2010. Mark Allen was named 1st Team All-League outfielder; Cole Pittman (OF) and Dillon Keene (P) were named to the 2nd team; Drew Thomas (SS) and Colby Rice (INF) were honorable mention.

For Kyle Bryson, Phil Tolley, Drew Thomas, Cole Pittman, and Mark Allen the 12-0 victory over Redmond marked their last game in a Titan uniform. All five seniors have been part of the Titan Baseball Tradition since their freshman year. Hard work and dedication have turned these ball players into into great young men who we coaches believe will continue to make the West Salem community proud for years to come. Not to mention they were some darn good ball players!!!
As strange as it sounds the Titans played host to Redmond in Redmond. This may read like a typo but because of weather the doubleheader between the to teams was switched from West to Redmond, yet the Titans were still officially the home team in both games. West dropped the first but rallied to jump all over the Panthers for a 12-0 victory in game two, giving the Titans a victory in their final game of the season.
On Thursday, May 13th the Titans we only able to manage one hit in the 5-0 loss to McNary. With the win the Celts were able to clinch a playoff spot as one of the top four seeds in the CVC.
